The standard dashboard which is included for every project shows N-Grams (2,3 and 4 word phrases), emotional analysis, verb and adjective usage, function word analysis, best examples of a topic and top words associated with every topic. It can also show the Topic map, an interactive visual representation of all Topics and associated words.
This graphic shows the incidence and frequency of key emotional terms within a Topic or word search grouping. The thicker the main ring graph is, the bigger the percentage of emotional words in the selected Topic or search result. The blue circle represents the percentage of emotional words that are positive and the red circle the percentage of words that are negative. The emotional properties that are analysed are Trust, Joy, Anticipation, Sadness, Disgust, Surprise, Fear and Anger.
Topic Analysis Overview
Topic analysis allows for the automatic identification and exploration of subgroups within your text. These topics can be used for further analysis. The result of the topic analysis is an interactive representation of the groups and the words related to them.
Adjective Word Cloud
Word frequency analysis produces both word cloud and histgram frequency plots of words within your text. We can also produce frequency plots for adjectives and verbs in your text (not all languages are available). Plots are also produced filtering out the top 1-5 most frequent terms to allow a deeper dive into this data. This graphic is also available as a simple bar chart.
Function Word Analysis
Function words are the "glue" words that we use to construct sentences. Within a language they are relatively static in that new function words do not develop very quickly. They can be indicative of the content of text, for instance a high frequency of the word "because" indicates explanation. Usage of "I" can mean honesty and the expression of feelings.
N-grams are groups of words that occur together. Loquor analyses each piece of text for 2,3 and 4 word n-grams. 4 word n-grams are rare in smaller datasets, but do appear in larger datasets. N-grams can show common memes within Topics or groups that are the results of text search.
You can see what are the best examples of the topics produced. This shows you the text of the data item along with a level probability that the text item has of being associated woth the topic.
